Michalis Georgiou holds a degree in Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. He Is Certified Information Security Consultant, Certified Digital Forensics Examiner, Certified Information Controls Auditor, Certified SOX Expert, and Certified Penetration Tester among other professional qualifications. Since 2002 he has been working as a Network Operations Manager and Chief Information Security Officer at the European University of Cyprus and Cyprus College. He is an active member of the Cyprus Computer Society and his articles have been published in the scientific journal of the association “Pliroforiki”. He is a member of the CCS committee dealing with the issue of Information Security conferences and has participated in international conferences on this topic. He is also a Lab instructor of the Ethical Hacking and Penetration Testing Course for the European University Cyprus M.Sc Degree of Cybersecurity and Research Associate in EUC CERIDES dealing with Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics and Data protection EU Funding Projects.
